Silent Reading Meetup (12/1/24)
Hello!
Let’s get together in real life and read (alongside other human beings).
There’s no cost (it’s free!)—this is just an excuse to be around people, read a book, and maybe make some new friends.
Here are the details:
When:

Kuumba Juice & Coffee
274 E Keefe Ave (corner of E Keefe and N Richards)
Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53212
Bring:
A book to read (can be paperback or Kindle, an audiobook plus paper to doodle on, a magazine—whatever you like)
Earplugs or headphones if you find coffeeshop hubbub and/or background music distracting
What to Expect:
Show up a little early if you want to socialize (I’ll be there about 15 minutes beforehand).
Grab a seat and a drink. Say hi to your fellow readers and/or get cozy in your own bubble.
We’ll read quietly for an hour beginning at 1pm.
Hang out as long as you want after that, reading and chatting and whatever else you please :)
Cost:
Free!
Though please buy a drink or some food to support the business. You can see photos of their menu on their Facebook page: they have a lot of delicious stuff, and their coffee is just a few bucks, if you’re on a budget.
Parking/Transportation:
Very walkable area, there’s abundant street parking (I usually park just north of Keefe on Richards), and the Holton & Keefe bus stop (15 bus) is just two blocks away.
